Cutting a child’s hair is not easy: the inability and difficulty of staying still for a long time, fear and/or curiosity for scissors make this operation particularly onerous. Finding a hairdresser who is patient and good with boys would be the ideal thing: it would save us tears and tantrums and avoid disasters to the hair of our loved ones. Unfortunately, our trusted hairdresser is not always willing to take on this burden so it is preferable to opt for a simple and fast method, especially suitable for boys’ hair: cutting with the machine with which it takes much less time even if the attention to be paid must be greater in order not to injure the patient. Do you know how to cut toddler boy hair with clippers? The operation is not very simple and this prevents you from doing it quickly, you have to take the time to do everything very calmly.

To prepare the boy for the cut it is necessary to make him sit down and put on a cape that protects him from hair that will fall out during the cut. If the baby is small, you can think of making him kneel or put some pillows on the chair in order to assume a more comfortable position during the operation. The hair must be dry to understand the right amount to cut and for a better view of what you are doing. Furthermore, if they are wet they take on another shape and volume than when they are dry, so it would be more difficult also because when wet they are all grouped together.
There are many models of razors on the market; the best, in addition to being equipped with a ring for adjusting the length and a comb to direct them, incorporate scissors for finishing. Especially if you are a beginner, it is good to set the blade at a not excessive depth so as to be able to remedy mistakes made by mistake. It is good to take into account that the machines are equipped with a safety mechanism that reduces the risk of injury or being injured to zero.
To proceed at best it is preferable to start from the nape of the neck and proceed upwards. After this first part, we move to the sides, finally to the center of the head. Always proceed in the opposite direction to the direction of growth so that the comb can collect them all, allowing the machine to cut evenly without leaving obvious traces of the cut. The last phase concerns the area around the ears: it is preferable to use scissors to avoid hurting if it should move suddenly. The more daring can try their hand at the razor, in that case, it will be necessary to remove the comb from the machine and you will have to proceed with greater attention. Having a support person in this but also in the other phases will serve to distract the child more easily.
Avoid using the machine for elaborate cuts. It is used for very short and uniform cuts. Give the baby a bath immediately to free him from the hassle of cut hair.
