Dresscode
The first thing to write down on the invitations, after you figured out the place, date and time, is the dress code. You have a couple of options here, so every friend group can find something for them. The first option is to make it a fancy dinner night, in this case, the dress code should be formal. We’re thinking collar shirts, cocktail dresses and heels. If you want to keep it more casual, but still have a theme, you can choose a smart casual dress code with 2 or 3 colors. Or you can just mention a comfy dress code so that everyone can lounge in their sweatpants if that’s the vibe you want to go for.
Arranging the table
In order for this dinner to be as instagramable as possible, you need a well arranged table. You can choose a very clean and minimalistic approach, where everything is one color and matching, or you can go for a maximalist table and give every person different styles of plates in combined colors. Activities
Of course, at dinner night, the main activity will be having dinner. But you can organize a more interactive night and have different ways of entertainment. Choose something that works with the dress code and the general vibe of the party. So if you went for the fancy option, keep it that way by having a painting activity. This can be on canvas, ceramics, candles, anything you want. If you went for a more casual approach, go for board games or a movie night. You can also include cooking as one of the activities, if people want to help out preparing the starters. Adapt these to your friend group and make sure you ask them what they would like to do as well, to make sure everyone stays happy.
